Step Out.

by: Jeff Crook

Christ Place family, I hope you are taking the journey with all of your family at Christ Place. Our journey is about taking STEPS. That’s how a journey begins, right? So, we have to ALL STEP OUT if we are going to be on this journey together. Really, it’s about being on a journey with Jesus Christ. The word “disciple” just means walking alongside Christ and being in step with Him. So, as we STEP OUT, we are following Jesus and His steps.

Where I go, Christ goes. And, wherever Christ went, things happened! People were helped. The lonely were loved. The hurting was healed. The lost was found. The dejected was accepted. If there was darkness, He brought light. If there was despair, He brought hope. If there was failure, He brought restoration.

When Christ stepped into any situation, everything changed. And, as we SET OUT and take Christ to every place, we too can make a difference. Jesus certainly believed we can make a difference!

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works because I am going to be with The Father.” John 14:12 NLT

When Jesus STEPPED OUT, He did so in the authority and the power of God the Father. And you know what, it is the same with us, too.

On Sundays at Christ Place, we have been in Romans 12 in our STEP UP series. The verse that precedes Romans 12 is so important— “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever.” Romans 11:36

When we STEP OUT, we are receiving from God His power and blessing. And, in our steps, He is working through us. Without a doubt, He will use us to make a difference. And all the glory goes right back to Him!

So, let’s STEP OUT.

  • Pray every day, “God, use me today like you used Jesus Christ.”
  • Be Intentional. Wherever we go, it’s for a purpose.
  • Never forget the mission, like a soldier with a “dog tag.” Today and every day, I will step out making Christ First, walking Banded Together, advancing as a Force Multiplier, and ready to be a World Changer.

Let’s Go!
