“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Jesus is the founder and perfecter of our faith. There will be times, as believers, we will waver from the task our Lord has given us. We will feel like we cannot finish the race. When we find ourselves in such a place, we must look unto Jesus. He endured the burden of the cross and the pain of death to finish the work that the Father called Him to do. The Lord has also given us work to do while we are here on this earth.

We have been called to go make disciples! This may seem overwhelming at times, but Jesus is with us every step of the way, perfecting us to look more and more like Him. Do not give up on the work of going and making disciples. It is possible in Him, by Him, and through Him!

Ask Jesus to give you a renewed passion to be missional with your life. Ask for divine appointments in which you can share the good news of Jesus. When the moment comes, look to Jesus for the strength to share your faith.

What do you live for? Is it yourself? Or would you say you live for the Lord? To live for the Lord is to live on mission for Him. Find a practical way to show someone how much Jesus loves them. Live a life that points people back to Christ.

Sacrifice can be hard. What does sacrifice look like in a child’s life? This week, encourage your kids to sacrifice some personal time (video games, playing outside, etc.) to serve another family member to meet a need.

Lord Jesus, help me to be missional with my life. May I live with such commitment and obedience as You have modeled before us. Thank You for enduring the cross and saving me.
