Early in 2020, Pastor Jeff announced plans to launch our first multisite campus, as we created a Love Where You Live culture, disciplining our church family to make a gospel impact in the community. Although we have experienced many changes in our schedule due to the events in our world, we are excited to have a new date to launch this campus. If you would like to learn more about how you and your family can be involved, would you please email NorthCampus@christplace.com.
Christ Place North
Coming April 4, 2021
Meet the Pastor
Ben Garrison grew up just south of Atlanta, in Henry County. Growing up, he had the unique experience of being in ministry with his family. For nearly fourteen years his dad helped plant churches in the Henry County area. During this time, he felt that the Lord was calling him to surrender to ministry. In 2008, the Lord opened the door for him to attend Truett McConnell University and pursue a biblical studies degree. Not only was Ben able to obtain a B.S. in Theological studies in 2012, but he also had the privilege of graduating from TMU with his Master’s Degree in 2016. During his time in North Ga, Ben had the opportunity to serve the Lord in various ministries. In 2015, the Lord called Ben to serve at Christ Place Church as their Middle School. During his time at CP, he has served in kids, students, college, and now campus ministry. Most importantly, Ben met his better half in 2015. He and Mallory were married in 2016, and they welcomed their first born son, Judah, in March of 2019.
What is a multisite strategy for church?
A multisite church is one church that worships in multiple locations. It is different from a church planting strategy in which multiple, autonomous, self governing churches are started. Each campus is a local congregation in a unique context but it shares the same staff and leadership teams, the same budget, the same constitution and bylaws, and the same mission/vision.
Why are we embracing a multisite strategy?
We feel called to shine the light of the Gospel into every place in our Lake Lanier region, starting with 16,000 men (ages 18-35) and all those in their sphere of influence and repurposing the force of manhood in 100,000 homes. God’s calling on us is far too great for our one location. We cannot expect the lost to come to us; we must go to them. To take Christ Place in Every Place, we must plant more campuses in strategic locations.
Will this be a video site?
No. Our mission is to reach and raise the next generation to live out God’s truth. We feel that a part of this mission is to reach and raise the next generation of preachers and worship leaders. Therefore, we will have a team-preaching approach to multisite. Pastor Jeff will lead a preaching team that will develop and deliver messages together—same text, same message title, same outline. Each pastor will then preach with their own style to fit their context in their location.
Where will the first campus be located?
After much prayer and research, our staff team has sensed the Lord’s direction to plant the next campus in the north Hall County area. We have secured the North Hall Community Center and Park located at 4175 Nopone Rd, Gainesville. It is about a 30-minute drive from our central campus. The facilities are beautiful with ample parking, seating, and recreation facilities. At present, we have over 300 members living within a 10-minute drive of this location.
When will the campus be launched
Our goal is to launch the Christ Place Church, North Campus in April of 2021. We have developed a step-by-step launch timeline to ensure a smooth and effective process for launching to the community.
Who will be the launch team
Our plan is to inform the members of Christ Place Church who live in the area of the new campus. We will hold several Interest Meetings (February 9 & 12) to invite anyone interested in learning more. At the meetings, we will ask any families interested to prayerfully consider being a part of the Launch Team. Of course, any members regardless of where they live will be encouraged to consider helping as well.
How will the campus be funded
Primarily the campus will be funded through the tithes and offerings of the people attending. Monies in excess of regular budget needs at the central campus will also be used for initial start-up costs and expenses. Our goal is to create a fully, self-funded campus from start-up.
Will the campus have its own staff?
Yes and no. A feature of the multisite model is that we share staff. With that being said, the campus will have both paid and volunteer staff members serving at the new location. From the launch, there will be a campus pastor, a worship leader and a number of other ministry leaders and directors. The details of who will be serving in these roles is yet to be determined.
