When We Meet

Restart FAQ

Here are ten things you need to know as you return to campus…

10. It’s a family reunion this Sunday
We will have small groups on campus for all ages. Many adult groups are meeting both online and live in person, so choose the format that works best for you and your family.
9. Kids and student groups are meeting IRL (in real life).
We have practiced cleaning rooms after each use. Our volunteers and staff will greet you with a smile, shielded by a face covering, and we will be distancing children to the best of our ability.
8. Online church is here to stay.
Because not everyone is ready to come back on campus, our online ministry will continue. We want you to be able to worship with us weekly, attend your group digitally, and minister to someone from your home.
7. Cleanliness is next to godliness.
John Wesley said this in a sermon in 1778. We will be doing our best to clean high-traffic areas multiple times during Sunday worship. We have redoubled our efforts to sanitize classrooms and worship spaces after ever use.
6. We’re generous, except with our germs.
We will not be passing an offering tray during services, so offering trays will be available at the worship center doors. You can give online at any time.
5. People are lonely — invite them.
We are seeing new faces at Christ Place every week. We are not made for isolation, so people are hungry for community and fellowship. Grab your mask and a friend and come worship with us.
4. We’ll see you when it’s safe for you.
We know that there are some people who should stay home. Medically vulnerable people should watch online, and please let us know how we can minister to you. Then, when you are ready, join us back on campus at Christ Place.
3. We’re taking it one step at a time.
Mid-week activities will be delayed. We are not prepared to relaunch preschool and children’s ministries on Wednesdays. This also applies to the restart of choir and some of the other adult groups that meet during the week. For more information, contact the specific ministry area about restart plans for mid-week groups or activities.
2. Cool people wear masks.
So that our church family and guests feel safe, staff and volunteers in high-traffic areas will be wearing masks. In the worship center, where we can properly distance ourselves, we will remove our masks and love on one another from a distance.
1. Coffee. Is. Back.
It’s not been the same without a cup of coffee. We will be following state recommended guidelines, making safety a priority.
